Our little man is growing fast, he’s now almost 14 months. Here’s a somewhat recent picture of him - doesn’t he look so big?

Today is an amazing day. Sebastian has turned one year old. We had his birthday on Saturday and a bunch of the family came over, Grandma Davis, Aunt Lori and Uncle Bryant, Aunt Patsy and Uncle Stu. Our friends Mike and Kierlee also showed up. Here’s some highlights. You can view the rest of the photos on Sebastian’s first birtday Album.
Sebastian has started to walk. Well, kinda. He’ll do it only if he’s highly motivated, otherwise he prefers the extra support of his hands as he crawls across the floor. In this instance the open refrigerator door was the motivation. Does he look like a little penguin wobbling across floor or what?
It was a sunny 75ish in Tulsa today, to nice to stay at home and follow
our plans of working on the house which included painting, sanding,
nailing, staining, or whatever else needs to be done in the never
ending house renovation. So Josh changed out of his work clothes (I
guess I never intended to work on the house since I didn’t even put on
work clothes
) and we headed downtown to the Tulsa Mayfest.
Forget the pictures of the food vendors, musicians, dancers, and artisans… this alley was way more interesting. Or at least it was shady, not in a suspicious way but actual shade from the sun. I guess noon was probably not a good time to take liesurly strolls with a 9 month old baby. Thanks Joanna for calling and telling us about it, wish we would have met up with you there!
You can see a few more pictures of the alley here.
We’ve been trying to teach Sebastian some table manners during his meals. We tried to teach him to say yes by nodding his head, or by saying “more” in sign language, or to say “si”, but somehow he has decided that squinting his eyes accompanied by some odd squeaking means “YES”.
Here he is saying “YES”
