They were supposed to be in bed. I was with Eli and Sebastian said he was going to get water for Isa and himself. When I checked on them they were in their closet sipping water from wine glasses.
Occasionally, if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a small boy named Sebastian sitting in a small chair, with a small guitar, singing a small song about big things.
The guitar only has four strings and is constantly out of tune. Still, he finds words to put against the ‘chords’ coming out.

October 21, 2008… another beautiful fall afternoon. Isabella is now a whopping 8 months old. We thought it would be appropriate to go down to the local pumpkin patch to celebrate by posing her and her brother amongst the variety of hay and seasonal gourds.

mmm, mmm, mmm. manzana (apple). That’s the trick for this sick little boy. Clingy as the dickens and walking around on his tip-toes because his feet hurt, but the couch (or mama’s arms) were just right.
Sunday night, Isabella is ready for bed. Sebastian is up looking at books (he knows what time it is), being cute and decides holding his baby sister Isabella will get him a few more minutos. The shot, the instance… before he’s trying to lift her up over his head.
Two whole years have flown by with Sebastian manning the helm of ‘rowdy little boy’. He’s been an absolute joy of course and only misbehaves when a nap and a snack have been missed… shee-yeah.
He had quinoa and black beans for dinner… he didn’t eat them.
